The bay of Cala Figuera is a fantastic, fjord-like bay in the southeast of Mallorca. It was the port of the municipality of Santanyi and is still used as a fishing port. You can watch the fishermen at work. In the two partitions of the “Fjord” lie the old boat houses. They nestle on the rocks of the bay or are built directly into them or on the rocks.
The gates of the boat houses, however, are almost all painted in the same green. At the entrances at the gates of the boat houses, an idyllic path follows.
Building
At the entrance of Cala Figuera is a larger hotel.Otherwise, the building fits very well into the bay. There were already unsuccessful buildings demolished. Some very nice restaurants with views of the hustle and bustle in the bay are on the southern side. For example, the “Bon Bar” which is spoiled with sun during the late afternoon.
port
There is a small mole in the fishing port in Cala Figuera. Also the glass bottom boat here for a longer visit.
